At seven months pregnant, I discovered my husband was having an affair. I was devastated and ready to file for divorce immediately.
Then my dad told me something shocking:
“I cheated on your mom when she was pregnant. It’s just male physiology. Stay for the baby.”
I was hurt — but scared the stress would harm my unborn child. So I stayed.
After I gave birth to a healthy baby boy, my dad confessed the truth.
He never cheated.
He lied to protect me from stress during pregnancy.
