During my wedding vows, I said, “I love every part of you, even the broken pieces.” The room was emotional… until my mother-in-law laughed and loudly said:
“He wasn’t broken before you.”
120 guests. Total silence.
I stayed calm, finished my vows, and didn’t react. My husband was furious, but the ceremony continued.
Later at the reception, karma showed up.
My mother-in-law rushed to grab the wedding cake early, caught her heel on the tablecloth, and pulled half the dessert table down. Cake, plates, and frosting everywhere… and she ended up covered head-to-toe in icing. 🎂
The room went quiet… then everyone burst out laughing. Even my husband couldn’t hold it in.
By the end of the night, she quietly apologized.
Sometimes the best revenge is saying nothing and letting karma do the talking. ✨
