My son cheated on his wife, Tina, multiple times before divorcing her for another woman, leaving her to raise their one-year-old alone.
When he invited us to his new wedding, I asked why he had betrayed Tina. He simply said, “I deserve someone better.”
Instead of attending his wedding, my husband and I spent the day helping Tina and her baby. When my son called asking where we were, I told him, “I’m with your ex-wife. I’m ashamed of the way you treated her.”
