I was stunned when my girlfriend Everly showed up wearing the engagement ring I hadn’t even used to propose. Then she handed me an invitation to our wedding—five days away!

On the wedding day, everything was beautiful. But instead of standing at the altar, I had my best friend Chris take my place. Everly was so focused on her dream wedding that she didn’t even notice her groom was missing.
