What started as a normal school night in Madison turned into a life-saving moment. An 8-year-old boy, home alone and unable to reach his mother for hours, remembered her advice and called 911.
Police quickly realized this was serious. A welfare check turned into a missing person search, and officers—along with a K9 unit—found his mother unconscious in her car outside town after a medical emergency.
Thanks to the child’s courage and quick action, she was rushed to the hospital and is expected to recover. A powerful reminder that teaching kids when and how to ask for help can truly save lives.
