My DIL Kicked Me Into a Shelter While My Son Was Away on a Business Trip – But She Never Expected

At 67, I never thought I’d end up in a homeless shelter—but that’s where my daughter-in-law left me after my hip surgery.

My son, Daniel, had taken me in to recover, kind and devoted as always. His wife, Claire, pretended to help—until he left on a business trip. Then her cruelty surfaced. She called me a burden and drove me to a shelter, saying it was “better for everyone.”
