The Strange Behavior, Missing Money, And A Dog’s Bark Led Me To The Truth

My wife and I had our first baby while I was working overseas. When I finally got home, she was acting strange — secretive calls, missing money, and our dog, Max, constantly barking at the baby’s crib.
I checked under the crib and found a burner phone taped beneath it. The messages were from a man she’d been seeing — hinting the baby might not be mine. I did a paternity test in secret. The baby was mine.
When I confronted her, she admitted to one affair and said she kept the phone because the guy wouldn’t stop contacting her. Later, I discovered she’d been sending him our money.
I filed for separation and took our daughter. Weeks later, the man showed up at my house, but Max scared him off. He was arrested soon after for breaking into someone else’s home.
Now it’s just me, my daughter, and Max — proof that instincts (and dogs) are rarely wrong.
