A man was shocked when his $4,000 engagement ring disappeared from his home. Knowing his 9-year-old nephew had a history of stealing, he checked a hidden camera—and saw the boy searching through his drawers.
The nephew had previously stolen items from stores and even the man’s watch, but his parents repeatedly dismissed the behavior.
After discovering the missing ring, the man confronted his brother and demanded its return. When the family couldn’t find it, he gave his brother one week to repay the $4,000 or move out.
A week later, they left.
Then came the shocking update: the ring was found inside the guest bathroom sink trap. The man recovered it and proposed to his girlfriend that same night. She said yes.
Although his brother expected to move back in, the man refused. He also learned that his nephew had known where the ring was but was too afraid to admit it.
