Before our daughter was born, my husband shocked me by demanding a paternity test, claiming he needed to “be sure.” Hurt and overwhelmed, I stayed with my brother.
Two days later, I went into labor and called my husband 30 times. He never answered.
My brother rushed me to the hospital, but the birth became life-threatening. My daughter was delivered in his van, and I later needed an emergency hysterectomy to survive.
When my husband finally arrived, everything changed. His doubts had destroyed my trust, and I questioned whether our marriage could survive.
We eventually began counseling. He stopped making excuses and started proving himself through his actions.
Our marriage is still healing, but I hope love and trust can eventually overcome the pain.
